Andorra have one league point and one competitive match left. Gibraltar visit Encamp before an Azerbaijan friendly: two home games with different purposes, and a chance to give a younger attack more than long spells of defensive work.

Where Andorra stand now

The current situation

Andorra’s September–October window brought one draw and three defeats. The Nations League accounts for three of those games; the loss in Lithuania was a friendly. Keep those samples separate: the four-match picture describes recent form, while the league table describes the competitive position.

The home return against Gibraltar is the only remaining league fixture. Malta are beyond Andorra’s maximum points total, so first place is no longer possible. Second place remains possible, but a win would still leave Gibraltar’s final match against Malta relevant. Avoid turning an unfinished table into a completed outcome.

November also contains a home friendly against Azerbaijan. It offers another setting for combinations and selection decisions, not another route to Nations League points. Neither a better group finish nor UEFA’s move of all League D teams into League C is a first major international title.

Malta 1–0 Andorra

The 4 October away defeat completed the autumn window. Andorra have one league match remaining.

Gibraltar in Encamp

The group return is Andorra’s next confirmed senior international and next competitive match.

A different home test

Azerbaijan visit for a friendly. Its result is kept outside the D1 table.

Our readingDefending compactly buys time; it does not automatically create an exit. Andorra need a nearby receiver for the first recovery pass and another player threatening a different line. The useful question is whether the second action remains available when the first forward is pressed.

UEFA supplies the league scores, roster and next competitive fixture. LFF confirms the separate Lithuania friendly; AFFA confirms Azerbaijan’s visit and its Baku-time listing. Tactical relationships are analysis, not an announced November selection. Tactical judgments are TrophyDrought editorial analysis, not statements from the coaching staff.

Andorra's 2026 checkpoint

1 LEAGUE POINT

A goalless draw in Gibraltar sits between two defeats by Malta.

1–6 GOALS

Scored and conceded across four autumn games, including the Lithuania friendly. The league-only goals are 1–3.

2 HOME GAMES

Gibraltar completes the league programme; Azerbaijan follows as a friendly.

The checkpoints describe completed events. The result chart calculates from the published scores, not invented team or player ratings.

A stronger home finish is a realistic immediate objective. A first EURO or World Cup appearance belongs to a longer qualifying project, and winning one of those tournaments is the separate title threshold tracked by TrophyDrought. League C for 2028/29 follows UEFA’s announced transition for every League D team; it is not a reward exclusive to this group’s winner.

Andorra can reach four points, below Malta’s existing seven. A win over Gibraltar would leave Andorra on four and Gibraltar on two, but Gibraltar could still finish above them by beating Malta. A draw or defeat in Encamp would leave Andorra last.

UEFA’s announced transition moves every League D team to League C for 2028/29. That change is not exclusive to group winners, does not guarantee a EURO place and is not a major title.

A league finale. Then a separate friendly.

UEFA confirms the Gibraltar appointment. AFFA lists the Azerbaijan visit as FM and gives 22:00 in Baku: that converts to 19:00 in Andorra. The same friendly is already listed on Azerbaijan Now and the shared calendar.

Three questions that define the autumn

Editorial watchlist

Can a recovery become a possession?

A forward pass into an isolated striker often sends the ball straight back. Keep a shorter diagonal connection below the first receiver, then add a runner beyond. A two-pass escape can give the defence breathing room without committing the whole side forward.

Where does the second attacker arrive?

Rosas and Guillaume Lopez offer different receiving possibilities, but their distances matter more than a label such as two up front. One can show short while another attacks the next line. The model asks how those movements could complement each other; it is not a November lineup.

Can the full-backs advance at different times?

Width can move the opposition without leaving both recovery channels open. A far-side player staying connected gives Andorra another pass and a better starting point after a turnover. Do not confuse more attacking players with more usable attacking options.

Give the forward a second action

Iker starts the illustrative route, Remolins offers a midfield connection and Rosas gives a higher reference. Guillaume Lopez stays in a separate lane. The six named players belong to the completed UEFA roster, not a confirmed November team.

The first forward pass needs an exit as well as a target.

This diagram explains relationships, not a confirmed formation. Player availability, squad selection and roles can change before the match window.

Players who shape the next step

Roles, not a predicted XI
A reference beyond the first press

Albert ‘Berto’ Rosas

UEFA records him in the completed league window. His schematic role is to offer depth while another player supports the first contact; no November starting place or fitness status is promised.

The league goal and the next connection

Guillaume Lopez

UEFA credits him with Andorra’s one league goal in the completed sample. The analysis looks at support around him, not an invented individual performance rating.

Security with a possible first pass

Iker Álvarez

The goalkeeper appears in all three league games in UEFA’s record. A short outlet can change the next phase, but the diagram is not tracking data or an official build-up instruction.

The recent roster is a starting point, not a call-up.

Squad and availability watch

Koldo and the completed-window names

UEFA lists Koldo Álvarez as head coach. Rosas, Guillaume Lopez, Jordi Aláez, Ot Remolins, Max Llovera and Iker Álvarez appear in the league roster. Their roles here are an editorial watchlist, not a prediction of the next eleven.

November selection needs its own announcement

A final November call-up is not established in the checked sources. An accumulated competition roster can include players who are not selected for the next camp. No player is described as a confirmed starter.

Availability is separate from the fixture

No complete new injury bulletin or disciplinary clearance is established here. A date on the calendar does not prove fitness, selection or eligibility. Recheck official announcements before treating any of those questions as settled.

Andorra Now FAQs

Quick answers
When is Andorra’s next match?

Andorra host Gibraltar on 13 November 2026 at Estadi de la FAF in Encamp. Kickoff is 20:45 local/CET, equivalent to 19:45 UTC. It is a Nations League D1 fixture.

Who do Andorra play after Gibraltar?

Azerbaijan visit for a friendly on 16 November 2026. AFFA lists 22:00 Baku time, equivalent to 19:00 Andorra local/CET or 18:00 UTC, at Estadi de la FAF.

What was Andorra’s latest result?

A 1–0 away defeat by Malta on 4 October 2026. It completed Andorra’s September–October senior window.

How many Nations League points do Andorra have?

One from three matches: a 0–0 draw in Gibraltar and two defeats by Malta. League goals are one scored and three conceded.

Was Lithuania part of Andorra’s Nations League group?

No. The 3–0 defeat in Kaunas on 30 September was a friendly. It is included in recent form, not D1 points or goal totals.

Can Andorra still finish first in D1?

No. Their maximum is four points, below Malta’s existing seven. The immediate competitive objective is a home win and a possible second-place finish.

Would beating Gibraltar guarantee second place?

No. A win would take Andorra to four points and leave Gibraltar on two. Gibraltar could still reach five by beating Malta in their final game. A draw or defeat against Gibraltar would leave Andorra last.

Do Andorra need to win D1 to reach League C?

No. UEFA’s announced transition promotes every League D team to League C for 2028/29. That is separate from finishing first, qualifying for EURO or winning a major title.

Who is Andorra’s head coach?

Koldo Álvarez is listed as the senior coach in UEFA’s current Nations League roster.

Has Andorra’s November squad been confirmed?

A final November call-up is not established in the checked sources. The UEFA competition roster and completed appearances are dated evidence, not confirmation that every player is selected or available for the next camp.

Will Berto Rosas and Guillaume Lopez start?

That is not confirmed here. They appear in the completed league roster and are used in the editorial tactical model. Selection, fitness and matchday eligibility require fresh official confirmation.

Are there confirmed new injuries or suspensions?

No complete new November injury bulletin or disciplinary clearance is established in the checked sources. The page does not turn an old absence or a competition-roster listing into a current availability verdict.

Have Andorra ever qualified for a World Cup or EURO?

No. The senior men have not reached either finals tournament. A first appearance would be a landmark but would not itself be a major title.

How many European Championships have Andorra won?

None. They are in TrophyDrought’s Waiting Room because they have no tracked World Cup or European Championship title.

Where can I follow Andorra’s football history?

The linked Waiting Room profile explains the title definition, and the Andorra trophy story covers the longer history, including the 2017 qualifying win over Hungary.
